About Therese Eriksen

Professional Training

Therese graduated from the prestigious South Downs School of Homoeopathy in 2008 where she completed 4 years comprehensive training.

With full practitioner insurance, Therese is a registered member of the Society of Homeopaths and as such subscribes to their extensive requirements for continuing professional development, code of ethics and professional conduct.

Private Practice

Therese has been in private practice in Shoreham by Sea & Brighton since 2008. Since working comprehensively for a number of years with people who have lived with domestic abuse, Therese specialises in helping people with trauma related issues.

Homeopathy in the Sussex Community

In September 2012 Therese joined Homeopathy in the Sussex Community (HISC) where she provides supervision and has participated in three projects:

Rise - a domestic abuse charity in Brighton & Hove. Therese has been involved in this venture since 2012 and treats women, children and LGBT people affected by domestic abuse. She finds this work extremely rewarding and fully supports Rise's vision: Freedom from Domestic Abuse.

Abuse:  Don’t expect it.  Don’t accept it.  Don’t ignore it.

Safe in Sussex - providing domestic abuse awareness through freedom and education throughout West Sussex. Since 2018 Therese provides homeopathy to women and children at a confidential refuge as well as at an innovative community refuge which provides refuge and support to local women, working with the whole family to prevent abuse escalating.

Mental Health Recovery Services at Southdown Housing Trust. An ongoing project that had already been running succesfully for 2 years with two homoeopaths when in October 2013 funding was received for extra sessions which HISC offered to Therese. She jumped at the chance to work at supporting the positive ethos of empowering vulnerable people to take control of their own lives despite their mental health issues.

Children

With two children of her own, Therese Eriksen was initially drawn to homoeopathy when considering how to care for their health. Seeing how well they respond to a natural approach with support from homoeopathy when needed has inspired her to particularly enjoy working closely with other children as well as adults.
